TURAL LABS: EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES THROUGH INTERCULTURAL ENCOUNTERS IN VIRTUAL WORLDS LIL-ECHOES will investigate how the virtualisation of culture and cultural life through Extended Reality (XR) and Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the ways people experience, perform and transmit culture in contemporary Europe. The project’s main objectives are: (1) to understand how immersive technologies reshape cultural identities, social relations, and wellbeing; (2) to co-create inclusive and sustainable models for digitally mediated cultural participation; (3) to develop ethical, human-centric design frameworks for XR/AI cultural environments that foster intercultural understanding and social cohesion. These objectives will be achieved through a network of Living Cultural Labs (LiLs) embedded in public cultural spaces across diverse European contexts.
