TRACE: Accountable Agentic Retrieval for Source Discovery in Digital Archives
Historical archives pose a difficult retrieval problem for retrievalaugmented generation systems: documents are OCR-degraded, heterogeneous across genres and sources, and require strong source traceability for scholarly and institutional use.
