load-balancing assistance to reduce strain and injuries; (ii) adaptive workstation control that dynamically aligns machines and processes with human capabilities; and (iii) FactoryGPT, a multi-modal large language model tailored to manufacturing, providing explainable, context-aware conversational guidance and training. Human digital twins continuously model workers’ physical and cognitive state, enabling proactive, safe and inclusive support. Solutions will first be tested and refined in two dedicated learning factories, ensuring robust evaluation under controlled yet realistic conditions. Matured components will then be validated in three complementary industrial pilots (Austria, Portugal, Sweden), covering distinct manufacturing domains. Co-design with workers, managers, trade unions and SSH experts ensures inclusiveness, trust, and ethical compliance with EU AI and safety frameworks.
