Latvia The AI Factory Antenna – Latvia (AIFA-LAT) is a national initiative aimed at establishing a coordinated, high-performance platform for the development, integration, and practical deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in Latvia. It is designed to strengthen the country’s AI innovation infrastructure by creating a technologically robust, modular, and scalable system that supports research, experimentation, and adoption of AI across key sectors of the economy, academia and public administration. AIFA-LAT will function as an interface between AI research, technical capability development, and applied innovation, accelerating Latvia’s progress toward a more competitive and data-driven economy. The initiative builds on existing national strengths in ICT, engineering, and data science, while aligning with European strategic priorities such as the Coordinated Plan on AI, the AI Act, and the Digital Europe Programme.
