By bridging current gaps in databases, methods and tools, and harmonizing new insights with established standards, BLESS will provide a robust foundation for consistent sustainability assessments across European value chains. A multidisciplinary consortium, encompassing universities, research centers, large industry, and SMEs, will ensure a holistic approach covering environmental, social, and economic dimensions.
